Unique and Tasty Ways to Serve Crab Dishes for the Holidays

One of the very best things about crab cakes is their ability to taste tasty with whichever condiments or flavors you wish to add to them.

State Fare is a proud provider of delicious Maryland crab cakes and crab dishes. For the holidays this week, we are providing a Holiday Family Meal order with a variety of different crab products, seafood, and meats for you to take home. One of the very best things about crab cakes is their ability to taste tasty with whichever condiments or flavors you wish to add to them. So, the next time you order a batch of delicious crab cakes from State Fare, consider a few creative crab flavor combinations to serve to your entire family for the holidays! Read on to learn more!

Classic Crab Dip

This is a classic appetizer or spread dish that everyone can enjoy! Our hearty crab dip comes included with pita triangles at State Fare, dusted in Old Bay for your entire family to enjoy. It can serve up to six people, so make sure to order some soon!

Crab Balls

Crab balls are perfect for a holiday meal. If you order from our Holiday family meal order, you will receive 25 one-ounce lump crab balls. These are much like crab cakes, only bite-sized. This comes included with both cocktail and tartar sauce.

Crab Cake Sandwich

If you order some crab cakes from us, one of the easiest and iconic crab dishes to make for the holidays are crab cake sandwiches. We recommend serving them on a Kaiser roll with lettuce and tomato. Tartar sauce also goes great on these iconic Maryland sandwiches.

Crab Cake Burgers

This one is straightforward, and you might be doing it already! Grab a jumbo lump crab cake and then two brioche or Kaiser buns. Toast the buns for some crunch. Then spread mayonnaise, or your spread of choice, onto these buns before placing your crab cake onto the bottom bun. Add all of your favorite toppings as well – tomato, lettuce, onions, peppers, coleslaw, and then craft your very own crab cake “burger.” Eating it with some French fries makes the meal too.

Russian Crab Cakes

It might sound a bit unconventional, but you can eat crab cakes cold! However, the trick to enjoying them is to add some equally chilled salad ingredients. If you place a chilled crab cake from State Fare on toast, with some sliced tomato and Russian dressing, you’ve got yourself a delicious, crisp snack for the holidays.
