Al Fresco Dining at State Fare in Catonsville

Spring is here in Catonsville, and it’s time to get outdoors while you eat!

Spring is here in Catonsville, and it’s time to get outdoors while you eat! At State Fare, we have a stunning outdoor patio that will make your next meal out all the more enjoyable! Before you head over to dig into a delicious Maryland crab cake, we wanted to share some facts about al fresco dining!

What Is Al Fresco?

In Italian, al fresco means simply, “in the fresh air,” and has come to be a favorite way to describe outdoor dining areas. Often a restaurant or cafe will have an open space with full-service wait staff that allows them to serve outdoors. Not only is this great for enjoying the weather, but in some instances, it may mean that you can bring your pets with you. While not all outdoor dining areas allow for pets (due to health safety codings, nothing against your dog), some are happy and even excited to allow pets. Along with being great for spring, al fresco dining comes with a variety of benefits.

Bonding Family Time

Eating outside can make an experience more unique and fun in a way that can’t be replicated. It helps to encourage family bonding, great times with friends, and can even help to make a date more romantic!

Vitamin D

After a long winter, indoors many of us can use a little extra sun to help us rebuild our vitamin D levels! While you still need to make sure you’re using sunscreen, time in the sun helps increase vitamin D levels leading to a more balanced, healthy body.

Boost Your Mood

Vitamin D isn’t the only thing making you happier, spending more time outdoors is shown to help improve mood and reduce anxiety levels. With a warm breeze, birds chirping, and the scents of fresh flowers and delicious food, it’ll be easy to forget your worries when you’re enjoying your next meal at State Fare!
