The State Fare Patio is Now Open for Outdoor Seating

State Fare is opening up outdoor seating this Friday, May 29th!

Starting today, May 29th, at 5 pm, the State Fare patio will be open for guests again! We will be following the state’s new guidelines for restaurant safety during the pandemic, and we will continue to offer pick-up and delivery services for our guests. Outdoor seating is first-come, first-serve, and all guests must wear face masks. When you arrive at State Fare, check in at the host stand for seating information, and please practice safe social distancing while waiting! Read on for more details on our updated operations, and we will see you soon.

Updates on the Governor’s New Outdoor Seating Regulations

This week, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan announced that, as part of stage one of Maryland’s reopening, restaurants could open up for outdoor service. However, restaurants must follow CDC and FDA guidelines when we reopen, which include:

  • Customers remaining appropriately distanced
  • No more than six people seated at a table
  • Using disposable paper menus or sanitize reusable menus between use
  • Sanitizing outdoor tables and chairs between use
  • Staff trained in COVID-19 health and workplace guidelines

We are doing our part to follow these guidelines to keep our customers and employees safe and worry-free. Please do your part to help us create an inviting and exciting outdoor dining experience!

How to Have Fun and Stay Safe with Outdoor Seating

As mentioned above, we will be following CDC and FDA guidelines for a safe reopening, which includes maintaining social distancing, using face masks, and sanitizing all surfaces. While this may seem like a lot of work, it’s not going to get in the way of enjoying a summer evening out in the open air.

In addition to the relaxing benefits of fresh air and social dining, the vitamin D you receive from the summer sunshine can be quite beneficial. Researchers in Ireland have recently discovered a link between vitamin D and the severity of COVID-19 infections; the more vitamin D your body has, the less likely you are to experience severe inflammatory symptoms. Vitamin D is always an essential asset for good health, and if eating at State Fare is a way to get some extra vitamin D, that’s just a fortunate bonus.

Don’t Worry, Pick-up and Delivery Is Still Available

We know our outdoor seating will fill up fast, and we are also aware that not everyone will yet feel comfortable coming out to dine with us. That’s ok! We are still offering pick-up and delivery options from our menu and our daily specials. Our specials today are a family-sized pack of wings, a steak fajita wrap, and our children’s menu items are still complimentary for pick-up and delivery orders only.

COME AND SEE US AT STATE FARE!

State Fare is conveniently located at 748 Frederick Road in Catonsville, Maryland.
