Great Food and Wine Pairings from State Fare

Did you know that pairing certain types of cuisine with a particular glass of wine can make your meal more delicious?

Did you know that pairing certain types of cuisine with a particular glass of wine can make your meal more delicious? In certain countries, it’s even commonplace to drink a glass of wine during lunch and dinner. There’s also many well-known health benefits to drinking wine, with research suggesting that certain wines contain antioxidants that are good for heart health. These antioxidants can protect you from heart disease, inflammation, and even decrease stress levels. At State Fare, let’s explore how wine pairings can make a meal more delicious and increase your overall dining experience.

The State Farm with Pinot Noir

Our toasted state farm bagel is filled with earthy portobello mushrooms, cucumber, fresh spinach, sliced tomato, swiss cheese, avocado, and everything-seasoned cream cheese spread. This is a great brunch sandwich to pair with a glass of pinot noir, whose bold taste is perfectly complementary to the earthy elements of the state farm sandwich.  Consider a glass of our Pinot Noir Reserve by Salentein Wine, for only a $12 glass pour.

‘Firecracker’ Salmon with Chardonnay

Our fresh, farm-raised salmon is called ‘firecracker’ for a reason. We pan sear each salmon filet to perfection and toss in a spicy, balsamic glaze. Our firecracker salmon is served with shrimp fried cauliflower rice, and you can add in a healthy side like broccolini or brussels sprouts at an additional charge. For expertly paired salmon and wine, choose a glass pour of our Tormaresca Chardonnay for $8.

Pub Steak and Cabernet Sauvignon

Our pan seared, dijon herb marinated flat iron steak is served with applewood bacon creamed spinach and a loaded, double-stuffed baked potato. Red meats and herbs blend finely with Cabernet Sauvignon, which is filled with refreshingly firm tannins. Consider pairing with a glass of Salentein Reserve’s Cabernet Sauvignon at a $12 pour per glass.

Shrimp Salad and Sauvignon Blanc

State Fare’s shrimp salad sandwich is served on rustic bread and prepared with all the classic fixings of lettuce, tomato, and pickles. This cold, tangy shrimp salad pairs perfectly with the bite of a crisp glass of Cape Mentelle’s Sauvignon Blanc, for only $12 a pour.
