State Fare and Ravens champ Jacoby Jones are joining forces on December 11 to collect donations for Toys for Tots.
Visit Catonsville’s State Fare this December for a meet and greet and Toys for Tots drive with Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl champion Jacoby Jones! Jones will be guest bartending at State Fare Wednesday, December 11th, from 7 to 8:30 pm. He will be available for photographs and autographs with fans in exchange for the donation of a new, unwrapped toy. All toys will be donated to the local Toys for Tots effort, and guests are permitted to up to three autographs each. Jacoby Jones started his NFL career with the Houston Texans in 2007. In 2012, he signed with the Baltimore Ravens. In 2013, Jones and the Ravens made it to Super Bowl XLVII against the San Francisco 49ers. In the game, Jones became the first player in Super Bowl history to score both a receiving touchdown and return touchdown in one game! As we know, the Ravens won, and Jacoby Jones earned his first Super Bowl ring. He was then the featured player on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Super Bowl edition. After 2014, Jones played with a couple of different teams, but in 2017 he signed a one-day contract with the Ravens to ensure that he retired from the sport as a Baltimore Raven.
Hosting guest bartenders is an excellent way for bars to mix things up and make our bar experience exciting. If you haven’t tried State Fare before, a chance to get served drinks by a Raven may be the factor that gets you to sample our wide variety of whiskeys, wines, and craft beers. We’re thrilled to have Jacoby Jones join us behind the bar to help us drive donations for this worthy cause.
Toys for Tots is a charity established in 1947 by the U.S. Marine Corps to give Christmas toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them any. Toys for Tots understands how much joy a gift can bring a child on Christmas, and how the little bit of hope and charity can uplift the child and benefit their heart and mind. Last year alone, the Baltimore branch of Toys for Tots distributed over 32,000 toys to nearly 14,500 children. State Fare is eager to contribute to the Toys for Toys haul this year, so make sure to bring along as many toys as you like. We cap the autographs at three, but if you want to donate more toys, we will gladly accept for Toys for Tots.
